The most important aspect in the care of a recovering athlete is that the athlete be monitored by an adult throughout the time that the athlete is experiencing concussion symptoms. Even a minor blow to the head can result in a serious head injury that, if left untreated, can result is life-threatening complications. Every concussion is different.
Concussion is a medical term that refers to an injury in the brain, which results mainly because of physical trauma in the head portion. Moreover, after several concussions, it takes less of a blow to cause the injury and requires more time to recover.
